Message from the Representative

Our association was established in April 2000 as a council of management system certification bodies operating in Japan, each accredited by accreditation bodies that are members of the Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated (formerly IAF).

Since its founding, we have actively engaged in a wide range of activities—such as conducting studies and research on certification systems, exchanging knowledge and information, participating in committees and meetings related to certification systems, and maintaining communication with relevant organizations—in order to fulfill our purpose of improving the quality of management system certification activities, enhancing the standing of our member bodies, and promoting the sound dissemination and development of third-party certification systems.

We believe that these activities not only contribute to the improvement of organizations’ management systems but are also important from the perspective of enabling certification bodies to refine one another, enhance the quality of their own operations, and resolve common challenges.

With the awareness that management system certification bodies play an essential role in realizing a sustainable society, we will continue to make every effort to further promote the use of management system certification and, at the same time, contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of industry, while building strong relationships with accreditation bodies, relevant government ministries, and industrial sectors.
